The recent buuild of a posh shed in Wiltshire. The Alex log cabin is a compact footprint log cabin with 44mm walls, double glazing and a tongue and groove roof and floor. This particular model is ideal as a small garden office with a 3 metre by 2.5 metre footprint. In this case the double doors provide enough access to easily store garden machinery including a large ride on mower.

Concrete base 100mm or 4 inches thick provides a nice level foundation for the Alex log cabin.

Initially the log pieces are transfered from the pallet to the site and sorted into the various different sizes to speed up the building process. Double tongue and groove 44mm wall logs with interlocking corners.

Longer wall pieces also stacked in size order.

Quite a bit of space needed for the number of pieces in the log cabin kit.

With all the log pieces in place it is time to read the assembly instructions and start building!

Layout the first few wall logs with the half logs front and back and its quicklt time to assemble the door frame.

Once a few rows of wall logs are in place it is time to slot the door frame into place.

Continue building the walls and soon it is time to fit the window. Check the plans to ensure the correct number of wall logs are added below the window.

Continue adding wall logs and soon the walls will be complete.
