Homeworking in a beautiful Garden Office

Garden office in Ramsbury near Marlborough

Our recent garden office installation of the Kensington log cabin took us to the pretty village of Ramsbury near Marlborough in Wiltshire.

The concrete base of 4m x 2.5m was bang on the footprint of 10sqm and fits perfectly into the space available. Limited to a 2.5m ridge height to comply with permitted development rules this cabin is ideal if you need to place your cabin close to a boundary.

As a general guide we recommend a minimum spacing of 0.5m around your cabin to allow for access and maintenance during the life of your cabin.

After finishing the base work, the main cabin structure can be built in just one day.

Roofing in the hot sun was easier thanks to the shade from nearby buildings and trees.

The office has insulation in the roof and floor, underfloor heating, and laminate flooring, making it usable all year round.

The electricial work completed by George, a local electrician. Installation includes armoured cable and connection both ends including connection of the wifi thermostat for the underfloor heating, double sockets with usb fittings.

Additionally this project included an armoured CAT 6 cable for superfast network connection.

Finally the log cabin is painted with Superdec paint for long term protection.

The only reccomended addition would be guttering with downpipes to ensure the water does not bounce back off the ground and affect the walls.
